- Calculate cost of materials and purchase parts to build product
- Estimate labor required to make product
- Provide cost analysis to customer
- Establish quality performance standards
- Determine harmonizing code and duty
- Calculate cube and weight for shipping analysis
- Determine regulatory approval process e.g. UL. FDA, Energy Star, etc.
